E&H posted a school record 23 wins on its way to a 23-7 overall record, its first berth in the ODAC Tournament title game for the first time since 2001 and its first-ever trip to the NCAA Division III Tournament. The Wasps reached the second round of the national playoffs, defeating Roger Williams University in the first round.

Blevins started all 30 games for the Wasps this year and averaged 12.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.3 steals per contest. She led the team and was third in the league in field goal percentage (52.7%). Blevins scored in double figures in 21 games during the year, and reached the 1,000-point plateau for her career against Lynchburg College (Feb. 17).

Crutchfield, who was also named the ODAC Coach of the Year, led E&H to a program-record tying fourth-straight season of 15 or more wins. The 2017-18 campaign was the first time the Wasps have reached the 20-win mark since recording a then-program best 22 wins in the 2001-01 season.

Randolph-Macon's Kelly Williams was selected as the State Player of the Year while Katie Garrish of Southern Virginia University was tabbed as State Rookie of the Year.

The VaSID All-State teams are selected by sports information directors of member institutions of the Virginia Sports Information Directors across the Commonwealth of Virginia. VaSID, founded in 1983, selects teams in two divisions (University and College) for 12 sports and three single-division teams in addition to Academic All-State teams across all sports.
