INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – For the second week in a row, the Emory & Henry College Women's Basketball Team is the number two-ranked team in the NCAA Division III South Region, NCAA officials announced Wednesday. Emory & Henry (20-3, 13-3 ODAC) has won 13 of its last 14 games and is poised to solidify the #2 seed in next week's ODAC Tournament. The Wasps have a pair of wins over No. 16 teams this season, opening the year with a 58-56 victory over Marymount University and concluding 2018 with a 76-56 rout of Christopher Newport University.

The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor remains the top-ranked program in the region. The University of Texas-Dallas moves to third while Emory University jumps into the ranking at fourth. Trinity (Texas) College is fifth for a second week in a row while Austin College is sixth, Millsaps Collge is seventh and Oglethorpe University is eighth.

Emory & Henry will host Hollins University in the penultimate game of the regular season on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. The contest will also serve as the Wasps' annual Play4Kay Game promoting the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
