FOREST, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Women's Basketball Team has seen three of its members selected to the 2019 All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference Teams, ODAC officials announced Wednesday. It marks the fifth year in a row that the Wasps have had multiple players recognized by the league. The All-ODAC teams are selected by the conference's 13 head coaches.

Senior forward Taylor Blevins (Abingdon, Va.) earned all-league first-team honors for the second year in a row while junior forward Sydney McKinney (Big Stone Gap, Va.) made it back-to-back seasons on the All-ODAC Second Team. Joining Blevins and McKinney on the all-conference list is junior forward Peyton Williams (Saltville, Va.), who earns her first conference honor with a third-team selection.

Blevins becomes just the second player in program history to be named All-ODAC in each of her four seasons following Head Coach Anne Crutchfield's run on the all-league teams from 1986-89. The Abingdon, Virginia native has led the Wasps in scoring and rebounding with 12.8 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. She is shooting a league-best 56.6 percent from the field and is averaging 1.3 assists and 1.4 steals per contest. Blevins has reached double figures 20 times during the year including 10 games in a row with a total of three double-doubles.

McKinney averaged 11.8 points and 5.8 rebounds per game, with a field goal percentage of 55.4, which is third in the league, while also shooting 77.1 percent at the free throw line. She's posted five double-doubles on the year with 15 double-figure scoring games. McKinney is also averaging 2.0 assists and 1.3 steals per game and leads the team with 19 blocked  shots.

Williams has averaged 7.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.3 assists per game. She has season-highs of 15 points (at Lynchburg, Jan. 30), 18 rebounds, four blocks (vs. Bridgewater, Feb. 16) and nine assists (at Shenandoah, Nov. 25). She has reached double figures in scoring on eight occasions coming two points shy of a double-double twice.

The second-seeded Wasps will face #7 Roanoke College on Friday at 6:00 p.m., in the ODAC Tournament Quarterfinals. It will be the first postseason meeting between E&H and RC since the championship game of the 2000 tournament. Emory & Henry defeated Roanoke by a 67-51 score on Wednesday, February 6 at home.
