TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – For a second year in a row, a member of the Emory & Henry College Women's Basketball Team earned a spot on the NCAA Division III CoSIDA Academic All-District V Team, CoSIDA officials announced Thursday. CoSIDA is the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Senior forward Taylor Blevins (Abingdon, Va.), one of three players from the Old Dominion Athletic Conference to be selected to this year's team, is now eligible for Academic All-America® honors. It marks the second-straight year that Blevins has been picked by CoSIDA as an Academic All-District player.

Blevins, a 3.91 student majoring in biology, leads the Wasps in scoring and rebounding with 12.8 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. She is shooting a league-best 56.6 percent from the field and is averaging 1.3 assists and 1.4 steals per contest. Blevins has reached double figures 20 times during the year including 10 games in a row with a total of three double-doubles.

On Wednesday, Blevins became just the second player in program history to be named All-ODAC in each of her four seasons following Head Coach Anne Crutchfield's run on the all-league teams from 1986-89.

Emory & Henry (22-3, 13-3 ODAC) finished the regular season second in the ODAC, earning the #2 seed in the ODAC Tournament. The Wasps will face #7 Roanoke College on Friday evening at 6:00 p.m. The team enters postseason play ranked second in the South Region and 23rd in the D3hoops.com top 25 poll.

CoSIDA's Academic All-America® program has recognized student-athletes for their accomplishments on the field and in the classroom since 1952. CoSIDA members nominate and vote for the selection of Academic All-District and All-America performers in 12 sport categories across all divisions of college athletics.
