FOREST, Va. – For the third time in five weeks, Emory & Henry College senior forward Peyton Williams has been selected as the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week, ODAC officials announced Monday. It also marks the fourth time this season that an E&H player has been recognized by the league office.

The Saltville, Virginia native scored a career-high 26 points last Tuesday to lead the Wasps (9-1, 3-0 ODAC) to a 75-54 win against Southern Virginia University. It was Williams' fourth career-high game of the year.

The 2019 All-ODAC Third-Teamer went 8-for-17 from the field with a pair of makes from long range. She pulled down nine rebounds, adding four steals, an assist and a block in 33 minutes of action.

Williams continues to lead the league in scoring at 17.4 points per game and is second in rebounding (10.2 rpg).  She tops the ODAC in overall points (174), rebounds (102), free throws made (51-of-62), steals (25) and minutes played (348). She is second in field goals made (64-of-145) and ranks in the top 10 in field goal percentage (47.8%) and free throw percentage (82.3%). Williams also has seven double-doubles in 10 games this season, which ties her for fourth in NCAA Division III.

Emory & Henry will return to the court after the New Year, hosting Virginia Wesleyan University on Thursday, January 2 at 4:00 p.m.
