FOREST, Va. – For the second time this season, Emory & Henry College senior forward Sydney McKinney has been selected as the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week, ODAC officials announced Monday. It also marks the fifth time this season that an E&H player has been recognized by the league office.

The Big Stone Gap, Virginia native led E&H (19-4, 13-3 ODAC) to a 2-0 record in the next to last week of conference play, keeping the Wasps in the running for the #1 seed in the ODAC Tournament.

In Saturday's 76-61 win at Eastern Mennonite University, McKinney recorded just the second triple-double in program history. She scored 16 points, pulled down 14 rebounds and dished out 11 assists on her way to the accomplishment. She shot 7-for-15 from the field and added a steal and a block in the victory.

McKinney opened the week with a double-double in the Wasps' victory over the Maroons of Roanoke College (75-52). She went 4-for-9 on the evening for 11 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, and recorded two assists and two steals in just 17 minutes.

The Union High School graduate is currently fourth in the league in scoring (14.4 ppg), fourth in blocks (29), fifth in rebounding (8.2), eighth in assists (3.3) and 11th in steals (1.9). She is shooting 44.4 percent from the field and 72.4 percent at the free throw line.
