FOREST, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Women's Basketball Team has seen two of its members selected to the 2021 All-ODAC Women's Basketball Team, ODAC officials announced Tuesday. The All-ODAC Teams are selected by the conference's head coaches.

Senior guard Kylea Cooper (Hickory, N.C.) and junior center Alexis Hoppers (Sparta, N.C.) receive all-conference accolades after leading the Wasps to a 6-8 overall record and the ODAC Tournament Quarterfinals. It marks the seventh year in a row that E&H has had multiple players recognized by the league.

This year, due to not all teams playing the same number of games, the All-ODAC Team consists of one team of 18 players instead of three six-player teams. The league maintained the "of the Year" designations for Player, Defensive Player, Rookie, Coach and Scholar-Athlete as in previous seasons.

Cooper earns her first all-conference honor after averaging 9.2 points, 2.4 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.4 steals per game. She reached double figures in three of the 10 games in which she played including a season-high 20 points against Roanoke (Jan. 24) and had a season-best seven assists in the ODAC Tournament First Round game against #10 Eastern Mennonite (Mar. 4).

Hoppers led the Wasps with 13.1 points and 8.6 rebounds per contest. She posted seven double-doubles on the year, scoring in double figures 11 times. She scored 21 points in back-to-back games to close out the regular season (vs. Ferrum – Feb. 25; vs. Shenandoah – Feb. 27). Hoppers also shot a team-best 48.3 percent from the field and went 73.7 percent at the free throw line.

ODAC Champion University of Lynchburg saw Abby Oguich selected as ODAC Player of the Year while Katie Crump, the Hornets' interim head coach, was picked as coach of the year by her colleagues.

Roanoke College's Whitney Hopson was tabbed as ODAC Defensive Player of the Year and Randolph College's Kylie Stark earned ODAC Rookie of the Year honors. Olivia Weinel of Shenandoah University was picked as the ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Scholar-Athlete by the league's sports information directors.
