Emory & Henry Women’s Basketball Downs Warren Wilson, 76-59, Tuesday On The Road

SWANNANOA, N.C. – The Emory & Henry College Women's Basketball Team (8-10) got back on the winning track with a 76-59 win at Warren Wilson College (4-11) Tuesday evening.

Emory & Henry Individual Leaders
- Freshman forward Emma Santoro (King, N.C.) posted a team-high 14 points and added seven rebounds while freshman guard Macy McClellan (Kingsport, Tenn.) went for 10 points off the bench.
- Senior center Alexis Hoppers (Sparta, N.C.) scored eight points and added eight rebounds while junior guard Claudia Frost (Damascus, Va.) tallied seven points and two boards.
- Junior guard Amaya Lee (Bristol, Va.) contributed six points, seven assists, five steals and three rebounds.

Warren Wilson Individual Leaders
- Daymon Hinkelman paced the Owls with 13 points, five rebounds and two assists as Teaja Sanders scored 12 points and seven rebounds off the bench.
- Carrigan Causby registered eight points and two boards.

A Deeper Look
- Emory & Henry made 41.9 percent (26-of-62) of its shots with 10 three-pointers on the night. The Wasps also hit 12-of-15 (80%) of their free throws.
- Warren Wilson shot just 16-for-47 (34.0%) of its attempts from the floor and were just 55 percent (11-for-20) from the line.
- E&H outrebounded WWC by a 44-26 margin and assisted on 23 of their 26 made baskets.
