
HICKORY, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne University Women's Basketball Team (7-10, 5-8 SAC) shot 51.6 percent for the game on its way to an 87-68 win over Emory & Henry University (5-14, 0-13 SAC) Saturday afternoon in South Atlantic Conference action.

How It Happened
- LR got out to a 10-4 lead midway through the opening quarter, but the Wasps closed the gap to 10-10. The Bears scored seven of the final nine points of the frame for a 17-12 advantage.
- Lenoir-Rhyne started the second period on a 10-3 run to go up 27-15 with 6:56 to go before the break. The Bears continued to push their advantage, taking a 44-29 lead into the locker room.
- Returning to action in the third, LR continued extend the lead, going up 63-48 with 3:15 left in the period. The Bears pressed their margin to 19 (75-56) with 10 minutes left to play.
- The two teams traded baskets through the fourth quarter as Lenoir-Rhyne came away with the 87-68 win.
Emory & Henry Leaders
- Junior forward Breanna Yarber (Meadowview, Va.) led the Wasps with 18 points and six rebounds while sophomore forward Gracyn Hall (Randleman, N.C.) had 10 points, six rebounds and four assists.
- Freshman guard Tori West (Richmond, Va.) notched 10 points, three assists and two boards with freshman guard Lyndie Ramsey (Elizabethton, Tenn.) going for 10 points and two rebounds off the bench.
Lenoir-Rhyne Individual Leaders
- Vanesa Jurewicz scored a game-high 22 points off the bench for the Bears, tacking on four rebounds and three assists while Blaikley Crooks tallied 18 points, four rebounds and three assists.
- Tilda Lindstroem put up 15 points, two boards and two assists with Emily Harman adding 12 points, seven rebounds, five assists and four steals.

- Emory & Henry shot 39.1 percent (25-for-64) for the game with seven three-point baskets. The Wasps were 11-for-14 (78.6%) from the free throw line.
