
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tusculum University Women's Basketball Team (8-14, 6-12 SAC) saw all five starters score in double figures on the way to an 82-68 South Atlantic Conference win against Emory & Henry University (6-18, 1-17 SAC) Wednesday evening.

How It Happened
- Tusculum jumped out to a 9-2 lead in the first four minutes of the game but the Wasps closed the gap to 18-14 later in the quarter. TU finished on a 5-2 run for a 23-16 lead through one.
- In the second, Emory & Henry chipped away at deficit, getting to within three (31-28) with 3:22 to go before halftime but the Pioneers posted an 11-3 run to go into the locker room up 42-31.
- The third period saw the two squads trade baskets early before a 7-2 run by TU pushed the lead to 17 (57-40) on the way to a 64-46 contest with 10 minutes remaining.
- The Pioneers continued to hold the lead through the fourth, going up by as much as 20 points (80-60) down the stretch. Emory & Henry scored eight of the final 10 for the final 82-86 margin.
Emory & Henry Leaders
- Sophomore forward Gracyn Hall (Randleman, N.C.) led the Wasps with 17 points on 7-for-10 shooting and pulled down five rebounds while sophomore guard Rhyan Harris (Salem, Va.) had 14 points and three boards.
- Junior forward Breanna Yarber (Meadowview, Va.) tallied 13 points, four rebounds and three assists while freshman guard Lyndie Ramsey (Elizabethton, Tenn.) notched 10 points, three steals and two rebounds.
Tusculum Individual Leaders
- Ni'Kiah Chesterfield put up a game-high 23 points as she went 9-for-12 from the floor and tacked on four assists and three rebounds while Jenna Kallenberg hit five three-pointers on her way to 19 points and four rebounds.
- Zoe Sharpe had 12 points, five rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks while Abbi Douglas went for 11 points, eight rebounds, eight assists and four steals. Carleigh Wilson contributed 10 points, eight rebounds, four assists, three steals and three blocks.
A Deeper Look
- Emory & Henry went 24-for-61 (39.3%) for the game with five three-pointers. The Wasps shot 68.2 percent (15-for-22) at the charity stripe.
- Tusculum hit 55 percent (33-of-60) of its field goals with eight makes from beyond the arc. The Pioneers converted 72.7 percent (8-of-11) of their free throws.
