
EMORY, Va. – The Limestone University Women's Basketball Team (15-12, 11-12 SAC) opened up a 13-point lead at the half on its way to a 74-63 win over Emory & Henry University (7-23, 2-22 SAC) Thursday evening in the Wasps' final game of the season.

How It Happened
- The Saints opened up an 8-1 lead in the game's first four minutes, pushing the advantage to 13-3 with 3:42 on the clock. E&H made the final two baskets of the period to make it a 13-7 score.
- Early in the second, the squads went back and forth before Limestone used a 12-3 run which covered 2:50 for a 32-19 advantage going into the locker room.
- In the third, Limestone slowly built its lead to 18 (49-31) but the Wasps finished the frame on an 8-3 run to close the gap to 53-39.
- The fourth saw the Saints push their advantage to 65-46 with 6:15 left to play, but a 17-9 run by the Wasps to finish the game closed the gap to 74-63.
Emory & Henry Leaders
- Senior guard Hannah Spainhour (King, N.C.) led all players with 20 points, as she hit a trio of three-pointers and added five rebounds and two assists while junior forward Breanna Yarber (Meadowview, Va.) had 17 points, four rebounds, two assists and two blocks.
- Senior forward Emma Santoro (King, N.C.) went for 10 points, six rebounds, four steals and two assists while sophomore Rhyan Harris (Salem, N.C.) had nine points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Limestone Individual Leaders
- Reagan Kargo paced the Saints with 17 points, two rebounds and two steals as Kalisha Hill notched 16 points, nine rebounds, three steals and two assists.
- Graycie Poe had 10 points, six assists and two rebounds while Dior Shelton and Amara Newsom finished with nine and eight points, respectively.
A Deeper Look
- Emory & Henry shot 39 percent (23-for-59) for the game with four three-pointers. The Wasps went 13-for-18 (72.2%) at the free throw line.
- Limestone made 26-of-65 (40%) of its shots, connecting on six attempts from long range. The Saints were a white-hot 88.9 percent (16-of-18) from the stripe.
- E&H held a 44-37 rebounding advantage and outscored the Saints by a 15-8 margin on second-chance points thanks to 14 offensive boards.
