Antwan VanBuren is entering his third year as Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at Emory & Henry College. It is his fifth year overall coaching with the Wasps as he previously served on the E&H men's basketball staff for the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons.

In addition to his role in athletics, VanBuren serves as a First-Year Academic Advisor focusing on pre-health and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) students. In this role, he assists students in choosing or changing majors, selecting and registering for courses, and connecting them with academic success services across campus. Previously to this position, VanBuren spent time as an admissions counselor.

VanBuren has spent time on the basketball staff at nearby Patrick Henry High School and currently serves as a family services specialist for the Washington County Department of Social Services. Additionally, he has coached at Charlottesville High School and for East Coast Fusion, a premier AAU program.

A native of Charlottesville, Virginia, and a 2009 graduate of Virginia State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in sport management, VanBuren resides in Bristol, Tennessee with his wife, Tiffany, his daughter, JaMayia, and his son, Kalel.
