Emory & Henry Women’s Golf Competes In First-Ever Tournament Saturday At Greene Turtle Invitational

FRONT ROYAL, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Women's Golf Team made history on Saturday, competing in the program's first-ever tournament. The Wasps are seventh after one round of play at the Greene Turtle Invitational, hosted by Shenandoah University.

Emory & Henry
Sophomore Ashley Underwood (Strawberry Plains, Tenn.) led E&H with a +28 (99) and is 32nd overall while freshman Sierra Giramma (Sanford, Fla.) is 33rd after shooting a 103 (+32). Freshman Chandler Thomas (Elizabethton, Tenn.) and junior Laura Mister (Herndon, Va.) also competed in the first-ever round for the program.

The Leaders
Bridgewater College leads the competition after 18 holes with a score of 337 (+53). The Eagles are paced by 2017 NCAA Division III National Champion Christina Herbert, who is eight shots ahead of the field, carding a  -1 (70) on Saturday.
