Emory & Henry Women’s Golf Finishes Seventh At The Greene Turtle Invitational Sunday

FRONT ROYAL, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Women's Golf Team completed its first-ever tournament on Sunday, finishing seventh at the Greene Turtle Invitational. The Wasps topped four teams in the field, including a trio of teams from the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.

Emory & Henry
- Freshman Chandler Thomas (Elizabethton, Tenn.) shot a 103 on Sunday to lead the Wasps, finishing the tournament with in 37th (218; +74).
- Freshman Sierra Giramma (Sanford, Fla.) shot a 112 and finished the tournament in 35th place (215; +71).
- Sophomore Ashley Underwood (Strawberry Plains, Tenn.) carded a 113 to finish at E&H's leader in 33rd place at +68 (212).
- Junior Laura Mister (Herndon, Va.) shaved 23 strokes off her Saturday score to finish in 42nd place in the tournament.

The Winners
- Bridgewater College (663; +87) won the tournament by 17 shots over Christopher Newport University (+104; 680). Randolph-Macon College was third while Stevenson University took fourth.
- Defending Division III National Champion Christina Herbert of Bridgewater won the individual title with an even-par 144, besting her closest opponent by 12 shots.
