
HARRISONBURG, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Women's Golf Team finished as the runner-up team on Saturday at Southern Virginia University's Knights Invitational. The Wasps also saw their first top-five individual finisher in sophomore Ashley Underwood (Strawberry Plains, Tenn.), who took fourth in the competition.

Emory & Henry
- Underwood led the Wasps with a round of 100 (+28) to finish fourth overall.
- Freshmen Chandler Thomas (Elizabethton, Tenn.) and Sierra Giramma (Sanford, Fla.) both carded a 114 to tie for eighth.
- Junior Laura Mister (Herndon, Va.) rounded out the team with a 136, which was good for 14th overall.
The Winners
- Southern Virginia's Bailey Rusick carded a +15 (87) to take the individual title.
- The Knights won the event with a score of 387 (+99) taking the top three individual spots.
- Emory & Henry was the team runner-up followed by Sweet Briar College.

- Emory & Henry's next event will be at Glenrochie Country Club on Friday, October 20. The Wasps will host a one-day 18-hole event at their home course.
