Emory & Henry Women’s Golf 11th After Saturday At Bridgewater Fall Invitational

HARRISONBURG, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Women's Golf Team sits in 11th place after round one of the Bridgewater Fall Invitational Saturday. For the third time this year, the Wasps posted a new team-record score while two players carded collegiate bests.

With a field of 71 players representing 15 schools and making up 13 teams, the tournament is one of the largest that E&H has ever played in.

Emory & Henry
- Junior Ashley Underwood (Strawberry Plains, Tenn.) led E&H by carding a 93 (+21) to tie her collegiate low score while senior Laura Mister (Herndon, Va.) made it three straight personal best rounds as she shot a +28 (100). Underwood sits in 47th while Mister is 50th.
- Freshman Baylor Padgett (Jonesborough, Tenn.) is tied for 54th after shooting a 104 (+32) while sophomore Chandler Thomas (Unaka, Tenn.) turned in a 111 (+39) to finish 60th for the day.

The Leaders
- Erica Whitehouse of Christopher Newport University leads the way by seven shots after carding a -2 (70) on Saturday. Eastern Mennonite University's Olivia Longacre is second (+5).
- CNU also leads the team competition with a score of +32, two strokes clear of Denison University (+34) and four ahead of Stevenson University (+36).
