Emory & Henry Women’s Golf Defeats Greensboro, 415-464, Thursday At Bryan Park

BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. – The Emory & Henry College Women's Golf Team earned its first win of the season in a dual match against Greensboro College on Thursday afternoon. The Wasps placed all four of their players in the top five and saw the program's first individual medalist.

How It Happened
Junior Ashley Underwood (Strawberry Plains, Tenn.) gave Emory & Henry its first-ever event winner as she shot a program-record score of 87 (+15), shaving six strokes off her previous best round of 93.

Senior Laura Mister (Herndon, Va.) was second overall with a score of 105 (+33) while sophomore Chandler Thomas (Elizabethton, Tenn.) and junior Skylar Hill (Damascus, Va.) shot a 109 and a 114, respectively to take fourth and fifth.

Emory & Henry shot a 415 as a team, winning the event by 49 strokes over Greensboro (464). The Pride's top player was Matti Moore, who carded a 108 (+36) to take third overall.

Up Next
Emory & Henry will return to Bryan Park in two and a half weeks for the 2019 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championship. The three-day, 54-hole event will be held between Sunday, April 28 and Tuesday, April 30.
