Emory & Henry Women's Golf Puts Up Record Rounds At The Mountain Empire Intercollegiate Tuesday

ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. – The Emory & Henry College Women's Golf Team concluded play in The Mountain Empire Intercollegiate Tuesday posting a pair of personal-best rounds.

Emory & Henry
Freshman Emily Smelcer (Walland, Tenn.) shook off her Monday round and responded with another program record of 78 (+6), to move up seven spots to 19th. It marked the first round in the 70s for E&H women's golf and broke the previous best by five shots.

Freshman McKenna Quillen (Abingdon, Va.) made it three-straight outings shooting a collegiate-best with a 92 (+20) to take 20th overall.

The Leaders
Michaela Lindahl of Milligan posted a +1 (73) on Tuesday to earn medalist honors by two strokes (82-73 -- 155) over teammate Alayna Perryman (79-78 -- 157).

Milligan's "A-Team" shot a 319 on Tuesday to capture the overall championship at +77, besting the Buffaloes "B-Team" by 18 shots (+95).

Up Next
The Wasps will next compete in the 2021 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championships on Sunday, April 25 and Monday, April 26. The two-day 54-hole tournament will again be hosted at Bryant Park in Browns Summit, North Carolina.
