Emory & Henry Women’s Golf Sits 11th After Day One Of The King Invitational

BRISTOL, Tenn. – The Emory & Henry College Women's Golf Team is in 11th place after day one of the King Invitational, hosted by King (Tenn.) University at The Golf Club of Bristol.

Emory & Henry
Freshman Briah Frisbee (Leicester, N.C.) is tied for 16th after shooting a +10 (81) on Monday while sophomore Emily Smelcer (Walland, Tenn.) is tied for 40th with a score of 88 (+17).

Freshman Lexi Humbert (Greeneville, Tenn.) carded a 93 (+22), good to tie for 51st as sophomore McKenna Quillen (Abingdon, Va.) is in 53rd with a round of 98 (+27). Freshman Reece Chasteen (Lake City, Fla.) put up a 101 (+30) in her first collegiate round.

The Leaders
There is a four-way tie for first place through 18 holes at 76 (+5) between Sasha Gardiner of King, Nilubol Panno of Tusculum University, Jordan Kirkley of North Greenville University and Abby Daquila of Catawba College.

Tusculum leads the field with a 321 (+37) while Catawba is one stroke back at (+38). Erskine College is third after shooting a 323 (+39).
