
ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. – The Emory & Henry College Women's Golf Team closed out the 2021-22 season at Milligan University's Mountain Empire Intercollegiate. The Wasps finished sixth in the nine-team field.

Day One - Monday
Sophomore McKenna Quillen (Abingdon, Va.) led the Wasps with a round of 82 (+10) on Monday to sit tied for ninth place while freshman Reece Chasteen (Lake City, Fla.) was 18th after shooting a +14 (86).
Freshman Lexi Humbert (Greeneville, Tenn.) posted an 89 (+17) to tie for 23rd as sophomore Emily Smelcer (Walland, Tenn.) had an opening-round score of 93 (+21) to sit tied for 34th. Freshman Maggie Jolly (Troutman, N.C.) was tied for 44th after shooting a 111.
Day Two – Tuesday
Humbert moved up two spots with a Tuesday performance of 84 (+12) to end the event in 21st place (+29) while Chasteen finished tied for 22nd (+31) after notching an 89 (+17) in round two.
Quillen carded a 93 (+21) and ended the tournament tied for 24th (+32) as Smelcer shot a +14 (86) to conclude play at +35 (T-27th). Jolly shaved 12 strokes off her Monday total to take 44th at +66.
The Winners
Milligan won the tournament at +46 (312-310 – 622) with four of the top six players including the event-winner Alayna Perryman (+9).
Alisa Marie Caraballo of Bryan College was the runner-up at +12. The second-place team was Point University with a score of +94.
