Emory & Henry Women’s Golf Leads After Round One Of The Buzz-Off Invitational

ABINGDON, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Women's Golf Team is in first place out of eight competing teams following 18 holes of play at the Buzz-Off Invitational Saturday. The Wasps posted their second-best single-round score with a 306 (+18) to sit three strokes ahead of second place.

Emory & Henry
Sophomore Katie Hall (Abingdon, Va.) is tied for the lead after carding an even-par 72 on Saturday, tying the program record for the best individual round. Junior Lexi Humbert (Greeneville, Tenn.) sits in fifth at 75 (+3).

Freshman Abby Bradley (Castlewood, Va.) posted a +7 (79) while junior Briah Frisbee (Leicester, N.C.) shot an 80 (+8).

Senior Emily Smelcer (Walland, Tenn.) carded an 87 (+15) while senior McKenna Quillen (Abingdon, Va.) recorded a 100 (+28) as an individual.

The Leaders
Emory & Henry holds a three-shot lead over Milligan University's "A" Team, which shot a 309 (+21). King (Tenn.) University is another three strokes back at 312 (+24).

Hall is tied with King's Lucy Holbrough at even par while Kate Castle from Milligan sits at +1 (73).
