Emory & Henry Women’s Golf Finishes 11th At The SAC Championship Tuesday

SALISBURY, N.C. – The Emory & Henry College Women's Golf Team finished the South Atlantic Conference Championship in 11th place on Tuesday afternoon. This year's tournament was held at The Country Club of Salisbury and was hosted by Catawba College.

Round Three
Sophomore Katie Hall (Abingdon, Va.) shot a +6 (77) moving up two spots into a tie for 22nd at +18 (75-79-77 – 231) as freshman Abby Bradley (Castlewood, Va.) ended the tournament in 43rd place at +29 (79-78-85 – 242) after a third round of 85 (+14).

Senior Emily Smelcer (Walland, Tenn.) and junior Briah Frisbee (Leicester, N.C.) tied for 56th at +51 (264). Frisbee shot an 84 (+13) on Tuesday while Smelcer carded an 89 (+18). Junior Lexi Humbert (Greeneville, Tenn.) posted an 88 (+17) in the final round, finishing 60th at +55 (268).

The Winners
Anderson University claimed the team title with a score of +27 (289-291-299 – 879), placing all five of their golfers in the top 11. Limestone University finished as the runner-up by 24 strokes (311-299-293 – 903). There was a three-way tie for third place at +54 (906) between Catawba College, Lincoln Memorial University and Wingate University.

LMU's Dilyara Bulambayeva held onto her round two lead to claim medalist honors at +5 (73-70-75 – 218). Aly Francis of Anderson was the individual runner-up just one shot behind at +6 (72-72-75 – 219).
