Emory & Henry Women’s Golf Wins Buzz Off Invitational Sunday; Hall Claims Medalist Honors

ABINGDON, Va. – The Emory & Henry University Women's Golf Team concluded the fall portion of the 2024-25 season on Sunday with a victory at the Buzz Off Invitational. Junior Katie Hall (Abingdon, Va.) defended her title for the second year in a row, topping the field by seven shots.

First Round
 Hall shot the low round of the tournament on Saturday, carding an even-par 72 while sophomore Abby Bradley (Castlewood, Va.) was third at +8 (80).

Freshman McKenzie Hauk (Kingsport, Tenn.) tied for ninth at +9 (81) while freshman Ally Childs (Leesburg, Va.) shot a +11 (83) to sit tied for sixth. Senior Lexi Humbert (Greeneville, Tenn.) was 14th after shooting an 89 (+17).

Senior Briah Frisbee (Leicester, N.C.) carded a +14 (86) to sit 10th as an individual while freshman Kyla Callahan (Denver, N.C.) was 16th after shooting a 95 (+23).

Second Round
 Hall shot a 76 (+4) on Sunday to claim the tournament's individual title for the third year in a row at +4 (72-76 – 148) while Bradley had the low round of the day at +3 (75) to move up one spot into second at +11 (80-75 – 155).

Hauk fell two places into sixth at +20 (81-83 – 164) for the tournament with a +11 (83) in round two while Childs shot a +15 (87) to finish in a three-way tie for eighth at +26 (83-87 – 170). Humbert claimed 11th place after carding a +10 (82) to end the tournament at +27 (89-82 – 171).

Frisbee jumped three places into seventh with a second round of +11 (83) to conclude the tournament at +25 (86-83 – 169) as Callahan remained in 16th at +46 after a second round of 95 (+23).

The Winners
 Emory & Henry won the team title after shooting back-to-back rounds of 316 to finish +56 for the weekend. King (Tenn.) University was 35 shots back in second place at +91.
