
HARTWELL, Ga. – Emory & Henry University senior women's golfer Lexi Humbert (Greeneville, Tenn.) opened the spring portion of the season on Monday and Tuesday at the Emmanuel Spring Invitational. The two-day, 36-hole tournament was held at Cateechee Ranch.

How It Happened
Humbert shot a +23 (95) in Monday's round to sit in 66th place. She followed that up by carding a 90 (+18) in the second round to move into a tie for 65th overall.
The Winners
Mississippi College claimed the team championship at +28 with three golfers in the top six and ties. Host Emmanuel (Ga.) University was second at +44.
Individually, MC's Ashlynd Madden turned in a +4 (73-75 – 148) to win the tournament by one stroke over teammate Desiree Herden, Lenoir-Rhyne University's Eve Neild and Reagan Padilla from Tusculum University.

Humbert returns to the course on Monday, March 17 and Tuesday, March 18 to compete in the Stich Golf Sandhills Flyers Spring Invitational. The tournament, which will take place alongside the E&H men's team, will be played at Longleaf Golf & Family Club in Southern Pines, North Carolina.
