WINGATE, N.C. – The No. 15 nationally-ranked Wingate University Women's Lacrosse Team (7-3, 5-0 SAC) scored early and often as it defeated Emory & Henry College (0-8, 0-3 SAC) in South Atlantic Conference action Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs took the win by a 23-0 margin.

How It Happened
- The Bulldogs ran out to a big lead early in the game as they tallied 12 goals in the opening quarter to establish a comfortable margin. Wingate continued to build their advantage in the second stanza, scoring four more goals to take a 16-0 lead into the halftime break.
- The home team and defending South Atlantic Conference champions did not look back as they scored four times in the third quarter and three more in the fourth as they cruised to the 23-0 victory.
Emory & Henry Individual Leaders
- Junior attacker Mina Hicks (Lexington Park, Md.) recorded both of the Wasps' shots, including the lone attempt on goal. Sophomore defender Riley Firebaugh (Roanoke, Va.) posted a match-high four ground balls and caused one turnover while freshman midfielder Meg Bruner (Otto, N.C.) had two ground balls and a caused turnover of her own.
- Freshman goalkeeper Madison Rossi-Dupas (Kingston, Tenn.) recorded three saves in between the pipes while scooping up three ground balls.
Wingate Individual Leaders
- Julia Garvin led the Bulldogs with a match-high four goals. Leah Knowles finished with three goals and an assist while three different Bulldogs had four assists each.
- Megan Biase earned the win in goal for Wingate, making one save. Riley Boone played the second half in goal, helping preserve the shutout win.

- The Wasps continue their road trip on Wednesday, March 20 when they travel to take on Lenoir-Rhyne University. First draw is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. from Hickory, North Carolina.
