
NEWBERRY, S.C. – The Emory & Henry University Women's Lacrosse Team (0-2, 0-1 SAC) fell on the road in South Atlantic Conference action to Newberry College (1-0, 1-0 SAC) Saturday afternoon. The Wolves downed the Wasps by a 21-0 final score.

How It Happened
- The Wolves scored nine times in the opening frame and added five more goals in the second period as they took a 14-0 lead into the halftime break.
- Newberry continued to score as the Wolves posted three goals in the third and four in the fourth on their way to the 21-0 victory.
Emory & Henry Individual Leaders
- Junior attacker Logan Pekala (Vinton, Va.), sophomore midfielder Jordyn Oleary (Folsom, Calif.) and junior midfielder Justyce Jones (Jacksonville, N.C.) all recorded one shot for the Wasps.
- Freshman midfielder Madison Stewart (Blacksburg, Va.) had a pair of ground balls while Jones, sophomore midfielder Brooklyn Halter (Alcoa, Tenn.), sophomore defender Reagan Koom (Omaha, Neb.) and sophomore attacker Bethany Beecher (Roanoke, Va.) all had one ground ball.
- Junior goalie Kaitlyn Evans (Gambrills, Md.) finished with 16 saves in net for the Wasps.
Newberry Individual Leaders
- Amelia Hawkes had a match-high four goals while Emma Jobs finished with three scores. Scythe Shephard, Serena Elias, Olivia Travassos, Riley Duchon and Lana Howell each tallied a pair of scores.
- Mackenzie Dorr and Presley Green combined for two saves in goal in the win for the Wolves
