Emory & Henry Men’s Wrestling Participates At The Harper Open Saturday

PALATINE, Ill. – The Emory & Henry College Men's Wrestling Team kept its season going over the weekend at the Harper Open, hosted by Harper College. The Wasps saw five athletes compete in four different weight classes.

125 Pounds
- Freshman Tito Hernandez (Shelbyville, Tenn.) reached the second consolation round, finishing tied for ninth.

133 Pounds
- Freshman Avery Almany (Bristol, Va.) won his opening match by fall in 30 seconds. After losing in the quarterfinals, he reached the second consolation round where he ended the event tied for ninth place.

141 Pounds
- Freshman Isaiah Dotson (Jonesville, Va.) finished tied for ninth as he made it to the second consolation  round.

157 Pounds
- Freshman Levi Field (Manassas, Va.) dropped his opening match of the day but earned a pair of wins in the consolation bracket to reach the semifinals. He finished the event tied for seventh.
- Sophomore Matt Allen (Oakton, Va.) received a first round bye to the quarterfinals before falling in his next two matches, finishing tied for ninth.
