GLENVILLE, W. Va. – The Emory & Henry College Men's Wrestling Team (1-4) kicked off its 2022-23 season on Saturday, competing at the Pioneer Duals hosted by Glenville State University. The Wasps wrestled in five different dual matches against fellow NCAA Division II competitors, defeating Davis & Elkins College by a 30-24 margin.

- The Tornado began the dual with a 6-0 advantage due to an unfilled weight class.
- Arnold earned his second win by fall on the day, defeating his opponent in just 37 seconds.

- The Wasps started the dual with an 18-6 margin due to unfilled weight classes.
- Sophomore Levi Field (Manassas, Va.) was victorious at 157 pounds with a win by fall in 4:45.

- Fairmont State had a 6-0 lead to begin the dual due to an unfilled weight class.
- Arnold picked up his third win by fall of the day, dropping his opponent in 1:48.
- Wheeler grabbed his second victory of the day, winning by fall in 0:58.

- The Wasps will return to action on Wednesday when they make the trip to Franklin Springs, Georgia to take on the Lions of Emmanuel College in a South Atlantic Conference Carolinas match. The men will compete as one part of a doubleheader with the women's team.
