GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Emory & Henry College Men's Wrestling Team has been picked to finish 14th in Conference Carolinas this year by the coaches.The poll was released by the Conference Carolinas office on Thursday.

Lander University was picked to win the league with 13 out of 14 first-place votes and 169 total points. Newberry was a close second with 151 points and the other first-place vote. UNC Pembroke was picked third with 145 points, while Mount Olive collected 136 points to claim the fourth spot. King (Tenn.) (119) edged Belmont Abbey (101) to round out the top six.

Emmanuel (Ga.) (96) was seventh in the preseason poll followed by Limestone (88), Coker (75), Allen (55) and Lincoln Memorial (41). Montevallo (39), Bluefield State (32) and Emory & Henry (27) rounded out the voting.

Additionally, Conference Carolinas has announced its Wrestlers to Watch List with juniors Levi Field (Manassas, Va.) and Tony Washington, Jr. (Cordova, Tenn.) and freshman Evan Alger (Pulaski, Va.) making the list for the Wasps. 

Emory & Henry will open the season on November 5 in Harrisburg, Virginia at the James Madison University Invitational.
