EMORY, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Wrestling Team (0-4, 0-4 Carolinas) fell in its Conference Carolinas dual against Emmanuel (Ga.) University (1-3, 1-3 Carolinas) on Wednesday evening. The Lions defeated the Wasps by a 45-3 final score.

The Match
- The Lions began the dual with a 12-0 advantage due to unfilled weight classes at 184 and 197 pounds.
- Freshman A.J. Marshall (Culpeper, Va.) picked up the lone win of the night for the Wasps as he defeated Connor Smith by a 7-4 decision at 174 pounds.
- Freshman Isaac Harris (Berkeley Springs, Va.) battled, but fell by a 9-1 major decision at 157 pounds to Gage Shetley.
- Freshman Sebastian Gaberrete (Jeffersonton, Va.) put up a fight but came up just short by a 10-5 decision at 165 pounds to Isaiah Castro.
