EMORY, Va. – The Emory & Henry University Wrestling Team (0-1, 0-1 Carolinas) got the Conference Carolinas dual portion of its schedule underway Thursday evening against Limestone University (1-0, 1-0 Carolinas). The Wasps gave the Saints all they could handle, earning wins at four different weight classes but came up just short by a 34-17 final scoreline.

- The Saints began the dual with a 12-0 advantage due to unfilled weight classes at 184 pounds and 285 pounds.
- Junior Logan Arnold (Rocky Mount, Va.) got the Wasps on the board at 141 pounds, pinning Limestone's Nathanael Bullard in 2:48.
- Senior Levi Field (Manassas, Va.) picked up a big win at 157 pounds as he defeated Malachi Thomas by an 8-7 decision in dramatic fashion.
- Sophomore Sebastian Gaberrete (Jeffersonton, Va.) gutted out a 3-1 decision at 174 pounds, defeating Limestone's Christopher Drakeford.
- Redshirt freshman Evan Alger (Pulaski, Va.) dominated Anthony Goelzer at 197 pounds as he won by a 17-2 technical fall score in just 2:03.
