Freshman Zoe Dewees (Virginia Beach, Va.) was good on the conversion and the Wasps held the lead at 7-5. The Quakers were resilient and scored a try and conversion for the 12-7 final score.

The Newberry Match
The Wolves jumped out front 5-0 early on, but junior Meredith Inge (Ashland, Va.) tied things up with a try of her own. Newberry once again took the lead on a try and conversion before freshman Emily Maddox (Amherst, Va.) answered back with a try to trim the lead to 12-10. Another Newberry try and conversion was followed by Inge's second score of the afternoon. The conversion was unsuccessful and Newberry held on for the 19-17 win.

The Warren Wilson Match
E&H flipped the script in the final match of the afternoon as they scored first on a try from Dewees. The Owls responded with back-to-back tries to push their advantage out to 12-5. The Wasps would not go away and Maddox's second try of the day cut the deficit to 12-10. E&H went down to six players in the final seconds of the game, but Inge completed her hat trick of scores for the afternoon to give the Wasps the historic 15-12 victory.
