Gracie Wall Named National Intercollegiate Rugby Association Player of the Week

EMORY, Va. – Emory & Henry College sophomore Gracie Wall (Winder, Ga.) has been selected as the National Intercollegiate Rugby Association Player of the Week, announced by the league earlier this week. She is the first E&H rugby player in the brief history of the program to receive national honors.

Wall scored a crucial penalty try in the Wasps' 24-12 victory over Warren Wilson College at the Newberry College Sevens Tournament played on Sunday, October 1. She also played stellar defense and helped set up several tries in E&H's 20-0 shutout win over host institution Newberry College.

The Wasps (3-4) return to action on Sunday, October 15, when they make the trip to Greensboro, North Carolina to compete in the Guilford Sevens Tournament, hosted by Guilford College.
