Frostburg State Women’s Rugby Defeats Emory & Henry, 46-5, In 15s Exhibition Friday Evening

EMORY, Va. - The Emory & Henry University Women's Rugby Team fell to Frostburg State University in an exhibition 15s match Friday evening inside of Fred Selfe Stadium. The Bobcats established a 31-0 halftime lead on their way to the 46-5 victory.

How It Happened
- The Bobcats were first on the board, just over a minute into the match as they reached the try zone and the conversion kick was successful to make it 7-0. FSU added a score and conversion kick in the 19th minute and another try in the 25th minute to increase the margin out to 19-0. The visitors would go on to score two more tries and tack on one conversion kick over the remaining 15 minutes to take the 31-0 advantage into the halftime break.
- The Emory & Henry defense was up to the task to begin the second stanza as the Wasps held the Bobcats scoreless through the opening 17 and a half minutes, but the Bobcats eventually broke through with a try to make it 36-0. The Wasps got on the board with 17:26 remaining on the clock when junior Gracie Wall (Winder, Ga.) offloaded to freshman Alana Walker (Clayton, N.C.) who sprinted around the defense and into the try zone to trim the deficit to 36-5. The Bobcats registered two more scores for the 46-5 win. 

Wall was named Emory & Henry Player of the Match for her play during the match.
