EMORY, Va. – The Lynchburg College Women's Soccer Team (6-2, 3-0 ODAC) remained undefeated in Old Dominion Athletic Conference play Friday night as the Hornets picked up a 6-0 victory over the Wasps of Emory & Henry College (4-3-1, 0-2-1 ODAC) at Fred Selfe Stadium.
Lynchburg struck for the first time with 19:28 left in the opening half. Brittany Klippstein settled a loose ball at the top of the six-yard box and placed it in the bottom right corner of the goal to give the Hornets a 1-0 lead. The one-goal advantage would hold through the remainder of the half.
The Hornets took full control of the match to begin the second half as they increased their lead to 5-0 in the first 7:34 after intermission. Klippstein highlighted the run as she recorded two goals (49:02 and 52:34) to complete the hat trick. Jessica Mader and Dessi Dupuy also scored goals during the stretch.
Lynchburg added the final goal of the match with 4:55 to play as Dana Nelson placed a shot past the keeper.
Senior goalkeeper Hayley Poland (Mechanicsville, Va.) had six saves for E&H.
Emory & Henry will remain at home on Wednesday when it hosts Hollins University at 7:00 p.m.
