VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - The Virginia Wesleyan College Women's Soccer Team (14-1, 7-1 ODAC) continued its winning ways over Old Dominion Athletic Conference opponents Saturday afternoon as the Marlins defeated the Wasps of Emory & Henry College (8-6-1, 3-5-1 ODAC) by an 8-0 score.

After Emory & Henry held Virginia Wesleyan to a 2-0 lead going into the half, the Marlins came out with a fury after the break. Their change in formation and speed of play was too much for E&H, which wound up surrendering six second-half goals for the 8-0 margin.

Virginia Wesleyan was led by Marta Deptula with two goals and an assist while Caitlyn Bishop had two goals and Sarah Nickle registered a goal and two assists.

Emory & Henry will travel to Lexington, Va., on Wednesday to take on Washington and Lee University in a 4:30 p.m. matchup.
