EMORY, Va. – The No. 12 Lynchburg College Women's Soccer Team (17-2-1, 10-0-1 ODAC) scored three goals in the opening 20 minutes en route to a 4-0 victory over Emory & Henry College (3-12-3, 1-8-2 ODAC) Friday evening at Fred Selfe Stadium.

The Hornets, who are the defending NCAA Division III National Champions are ranked No. 12 in the country by the National Soccer Coaches Association of American and are also the sixth-ranked team in the South Atlantic Region of NCAA Division III.

LC got on the board just 2:16 into the game when Jade Woll crossed a ball from the right side into Morgan Singer who volleyed it into the net at the near post.

Three and a half minutes later, Woll got a goal of her own, scoring from long distance from the left side of the field to make the score 2-0.

Singer struck again for her second goal of the match midway through the 20th minute. Emily Maxwell settled a corner kick that traveled past the back post and put it back into the mix for Singer who hammered it home.

Emory & Henry split the goalkeeping duties between sophomore Kayla Wright (Franklin County, Va.) and freshman Kieran Liseski (Mooresville, N.C.). Wright had four saves in 35 minutes played prior to leaving the game with an injury. She made back-to-back stops after shutting down a penalty kick and then saving the shot off the rebound as well. Liseski produced 55 minutes of shutout soccer and tallied eight saves to keep the Hornets off the board during the second half.
