GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Greensboro College Women's Soccer Team (4-0) scored two goals in 123 seconds en route to a 3-0 victory over visiting Emory & Henry College (1-4) Tuesday afternoon in non-conference action.

How It Happened
-Anna Rae Porcelli put GC up 1-0 with a score at the 28:19 mark, hitting a free kick into the bottom left corner of the goal.
- The Pride doubled their lead just 2:03 later as Caitlyn Cook served a thru-ball over the top of the Wasps' defense to Meredith Priest, who put it in the back of the net.
- Senior midfielder Sam Sampson (Salem, Va.) had a change to draw the score to 2-1 with just under two minutes left in the opening half, but her strike was saved by the Greensboro keeper.
- The two squads went back and forth for control of the midfield for 30 minutes in the second half before GC tacked on a third score to put the match out of reach.
- Samantha Lopez received a cross from the right side and slotted the ball to the back post. Alexa Rehling was credited with the assist.
Emory & Henry Individual Leaders
- Sampson tallied one of three shots for E&H including the team's only shot on goal.
- Junior midfielder Christina Ameen (Sweetwater, Tenn.) and sophomore midfielder Gillian Hogg (Richmond, Va.) had the other two attempts for the Wasps.
- Junior goalkeeper Kayla Wright (Franklin County, Va.) played the first 45, making one save while sophomore Kieran Liseski (Mooresville, N.C.) stopped a shot in the second half.
Greensboro Individual Leaders
- Porcelli had three shots in the match, putting two on goal, including the opening score.
- Lopez also finished the match with three attempts while Priest converted on her only shot.
- Brittany Morrison earned the shutout win, playing 90 minutes in goal and making one save.
A Deeper Look
- Greensboro had 13 shots on the day, splitting them five-and-eight between the two halves, including a trio of attempts on target. Emory & Henry managed just three attempts, all of which came in the opening half.
- The Tornados also held a 6-0 lead on corner kicks, taking five in the second half.
Notable
- Tuesday's contest was the third meeting between the two programs with the previous two meetings coming in 2015 and 2001.
