Ferrum Women’s Soccer Defeats Emory & Henry, 2-0, Wednesday Evening

FERRUM, Va. – The Ferrum College Women's Soccer Team (7-1, 1-0 ODAC) picked up a 2-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference win against Emory & Henry College (2-7-1, 0-3 ODAC) Wednesday.

How It Happened
- The Emory & Henry defense held strong in the first half, turning away 17 shots by Ferrum, 10 of which were on target.
- Just 21 seconds into the second half, the Panthers got on the board as Casey Raggett found the back of the net assisted by Frances Best.
- FC added an insurance goal late in the 83rd minute as Raggett struck again, this time on a service from Cayla Berry.

Emory & Henry Individual Leaders
- Junior Kaela Schlevensky (Haymarket, Va.) made 11 saves, 10 of which came in the opening 45 minutes.
- Junior forward Kelci Horner (Salem, Va.) and freshman midfielder Ronnie Garrou (Greensboro, N.C.) had chances for the Wasps.

Ferrum Individual Leaders
- Raggett scored her two goals on a match-high eight shots. Best and Berry finished the match with five and three attempts, respectively.
- Taylor Dodson earned the shutout in goal for the Panthers.

Up Next
- Emory & Henry will remain on the road Saturday when it visits No. 20 Washington and Lee University at noon. The match will be the first of a doubleheader with the Wasps' and Generals' men's teams.
