Emory & Henry Women’s Soccer Blanks Johnson & Wales, 4-0, Tuesday At Home

EMORY, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Women's Soccer Team (5-1-2) got back on the winning track Tuesday evening as it picked up a 4-0 win over Johnson & Wales (N.C.) University (2-5-1). The Wasps scored two goals in each half on their way to the victory.

How It Happened
- E&H got on the board 8:24 into the contest when sophomore forward Maddie Hummel (Spotsylvania, Va.) laid a pass off for freshman forward Olivia Haynes (Spotsylvania, Va.) who sent it to the back post for the score.
- The Wasps made it 2-0 in the 37th minute as freshman forward Camilla Dobraniecki (Chesapeake, Va.) split a pair of defenders at the top of the box and fired a shot into the back of the net.
- Seven minutes into the second half, Emory & Henry pushed the margin to 3-0. Freshman midfielder Karlijn Keuters (The Hague, NETHERLANDS) played a cross from the right side into the box for junior midfielder Helen Frazier (Vienna, Va.) to slot home.
- With just over 20 minutes left to play the Wasps added the final score as senior forward Callie McMurray (Gate City, Va.) hit a ball across the face of the goal to awaiting sophomore forward Adrienne Harris (Hillsville, Va.) who finished inside the post.

Emory & Henry Individual Leaders
- Haynes led E&H with six shots, putting three on target, while McMurray posted five chances on the evening.
- Junior Natalie Capone (Kannapolis, N.C.) earned her fourth shutout of the year in goal, making one save.

Johnson & Wales Individual Leaders
- Daryl Monticello had the Bobcats' only shot on goal while Trinity Knauf also took a chance.
- Leah Bargaw made 10 saves between the pipes for JWU.
