Six From Emory & Henry Women’s Soccer Recognized As Academic All-District By College Sports Communicators

GREENWOOD, Ind. - The College Sports Communicators, formerly known as CoSIDA, has released its Academic All-District® Team for NCAA Division II Women's Soccer for the 2022 season. Six players from Emory & Henry College have received the honor.

Senior defender Carly Walden (Christiansburg, Va.), junior defender Sophie Graham (Radford, Va.), junior forward Adrienne Harris (Hillsville, Va.), junior forward Maddie Hummel (Spotsylvania, Va.), sophomore forward Lucy Dunlop (York, ENGLAND) and sophomore midfielder Olivia Haynes (Spotsylvania, Va.) were chosen to the team for the Wasps.

Across NCAA Division II, there were 659 women's soccer players to make the team, including a total of 48 from the South Atlantic Conference.

The 2022 Academic All-District® Women's Soccer Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.

Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December.
