How It Happened
- At the 14:37 mark of the contest, Anderson broke on the board as Camryn Woods found the back of the net.
- The Trojans continued to pound the Wasps' defense, but would not give themselves a cushion until the 88th minute when Woods served up a ball for Meggie Powell to finish past the goalkeeper for the final 2-0 margin.
Emory & Henry Individual Leaders
- Junior midfielder Karlijn Keuters (The Hague, NETHERLANDS) posted a trio of shots to lead the Wasps while freshman forward Madie Beale (Virginia Beach, Va.) tallied a pair of shots including one on target in her collegiate debut.
- Freshman goalkeeper Sophia Wagner (Front Royal, Va.) made 14 saves, a season-best for any E&H keeper, as she faced an onslaught of 34 shots.
Anderson (S.C.) Individual Leaders
- Powell had a match-high nine shots including putting six on goal as she provided the insurance goal for the Trojans while Woods scored her goal on four shots with three on target.
- Victoria McGovern made two saves on the afternoon, earning the shutout.
