Emory & Henry Women's Soccer Battles Coker To Draw In SAC Play Saturday

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The Emory & Henry College Women's Soccer Team (2-7-5, 0-6-3 SAC) took an early lead, but eventually had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Coker University (6-7-2, 2-7-1 SAC) in South Atlantic Conference play on Saturday evening.

How It Happened
- The Wasps were first on the scoreboard in the 11th minute as senior forward Adrienne Harris (Hillsville, Va.) tallied her third goal of the season to push E&H ahead by a 1-0 margin. The visitors from Emory registered three shots on goal in the first half compared to none for the Cobras and held onto the one-goal margin at the halftime break.
- Coker found the equalizing goal in the 65th minute when Mila Rausch curled a shot from outside the penalty box into the upper right corner of the Wasps' net to tie the game at 1-1. The two teams continued to create scoring chances throughout the second half, but neither could find the game-winning goal and they had to settle for the 1-1 draw.

Emory & Henry Individual Leaders
- Freshman forward Madie Beale (Virginia Beach, Va.) and sophomore defender Olivia DaSilva (Newton, N.J.) each registered two shots to lead the Wasps.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Adriana Rehg (Talbott, Tenn.) posted four saves in between the posts for E&H.

Coker Individual Leaders
- Rausch and Millie Bates paced the Cobras as they fired four shots apiece. Kelsey Smith had three shots, two of which found the target.
- Rhyan Parkin made four saves in goal for Coker.

- Emory & Henry returns home to Fred Selfe Stadium on Wednesday, October 25 to take on the Trojans of Virginia State University. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. as game one of a doubleheader with the men's squad.
