ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Emory & Henry University Women's Soccer Team has been projected to finish 12th in the South Atlantic Conference this year by the league's head coaches. The poll was released by the SAC office on Tuesday.

Last year, Emory & Henry finished with an overall record of 3-9-5, 0-8-3 in the SAC. The Wasps have added nine new players to the fold, including six transfers and a trio of freshmen who are all looking to make a difference on the pitch.
Catawba College is the league favorite with nine of the 12 first-place votes. Defending regular season and SAC tournament champion Lenoir-Rhyne University is second with the other three top considerations. Wingate University is third, while Carson-Newman University and Anderson (S.C.) sit in a tie for fourth in the poll.
Emory & Henry gets the preseason started with a pair of exhibition matches against NCAA Division I opponents Radford University (Thurs, Aug. 22) and Virginia Military Institute (Sat., Aug. 24). The Wasps kick off the regular season at Shaw University on Thursday, September 5.
