Stavis played a pivotal role in leading the Wasps to their first South Atlantic Conference win in program history Sunday afternoon over Anderson (S.C.) University. Stavis assisted on the opening goal of the game for the Wasps that tied things at 1-1 in the 53rd minute. She then scored the game-winning goal in the 75th minute on a curling, long-distance strike.

This marks the first time that an Emory & Henry women's soccer player has won a player-of-the-week award as a member of the South Atlantic Conference, and first award-winner since Camilla Dobraniecki was named ECAC Player of the Month for her play in October of 2021.

Emory & Henry (2-1, 1-0 SAC) is back in action on Wednesday, September 18 when the Wasps host the Trojans of Virginia State University. Kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m., at Fred Selfe Stadium.
