Emory & Henry Women’s Swimming Earns 19th-Straight Academic Award

RICHMOND, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Women's Swimming Team has received Scholar All-America Team designation for the Fall 2022 semester from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America. The Wasps earn the award for the 19th-straight semester dating back to the fall of 2013.

For the fall semester, 80 different NCAA Division II women's programs achieved the Scholar All-America standard. E&H, with a 3.45 team GPA, is one of five members of the South Atlantic Conference to earn the award.

Catawba College (3.77), Lenoir-Rhyne University (3.68), Wingate University (3.55) and Mars Hill University (3.50) were also recognized.

The Team Scholar All-America award is presented to college and university swimming & diving teams, which have achieved a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The award is presented twice annually, once in the fall semester and once in the spring semester. The CSCAA honors teams from each of the NCAA's three divisions, NAIA and NJCAA.

Emory & Henry will conclude the 2022-23 season by competing at the inaugural South Atlantic Conference Championships over the weekend of Wednesday, February 8 through Saturday, February 11. The meet will take place at the Mecklenburg County Aquatics Center.
