CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Emory & Henry College Men's & Women's Swimming Teams got the postseason started on Wednesday with the first 10 events of the 2022 South Atlantic Conference Championships. The women's team sits in fifth place after day one while the men are sixth.

Wednesday's Events
- Event 1 – 200-Yard Medley Relay – E&H finished fifth with a time of 1:56.85 on the efforts of sophomores Tilly Craddock (Christiansburg, Va.) and Rachel Ritter (Gibsonville, N.C.) and freshmen Mick Sorochen (Monmouth Junction, N.J.) and Jill Koler (Manassas, Va.).
- Event 3 – 1,000-Yard Freestyle – Freshman Mackenzie Barnett (Monroe Township, N.J.) went a swam a 10:29.53 to finish fifth and set a new school record in the timed final event. Sophomore Peyton Helscher (Simi Valley, Calif.) went an 11:11.48 to take 15th while freshman Gabby Sadosky (Las Vegas, Nev.) was 21st (11:31.94).
- Event 5 – 200-Yard Individual Medley – Sophomore Paige Gelenski (Boca Raton, Fla.) was 21st in at 2:14.73 while Ritter took 30th in the preliminaries with a time of 2:22.61.
- Event 7 – 50-Yard Freestyle – Sophomore Hope Christensen (Moroni, Utah) was 16th, touching the wall in :24.68 while freshman Cassidy Allitt (Knoxville, Tenn.) took 20th (:26.04).
- Event 9 – 200-Yard Freestyle Relay – The Wasps' team of Barnett, Gelenski, Allitt and Christensen went a 1:41.11 to place fourth.
Thursday's Events
- Event 11 - 100-Yard Butterfly - Gelenski was 14th with a time of :59.08 while Sorochen placed 18th at :59.55.
- Event 13 - 400-Yard Individual Medley - Gelenski finished 15th, touching the wall in 4:46.15 as Koler was 23rd (4:58.46) and Ritter was 24th (5:04.14).
- Event 15 - 200-Yard Freestyle - Barnett placed 13th in 1:56.07 with Craddock turning in a time of 2:05.33 which was good for 24th. Sadosky was 27th in the preliminaries.
- Event 17 - 400-Yard Medley Relay - E&H was fourth as Sorochen, Koler, Gelenski and Barnett went a 4:07.55.
Friday's Events
- Event 19 - 500-Yard Freestyle - Barnett set a new school record, her second of the weekend, going a 5:06.08 to finish ninth while Helscher was 15th in 5:24.36. Sadosky placed 19th in 5:23.07.
- Event 21 - 100-Yard Backstroke - Sorochen was 16th at 1:03.15 for the last place in the "B Final" while Craddock placed 17th (1:03.09) and Christensen was 18th at 1:03.83.
- Event 23 - 100-Yard Breaststroke - Koler took 15th overall with her time of 1:09.29. Ritter tied for 17th at 1:10.14 while Allitt was 20th in 1:14.46.
- Event 25 - 200-Yard Butterfly - Gelenski finshed in 10th place with a 2:13.51.
- Event 27 - 800-Yard Freestyle Relay - The Wasps were sixth in the relay as Christensen, Helscher, Gelenski and Craddock stopped the watches in 8:18.71.
Saturday's Events
- Event 29 - 1,650 Yard Freestyle - Helscher led E&H in the timed-final event at 18.55.14 to finish 10th while Sadosky was 14th in 19:29.91.
- Event 31 - 100-Yard Freestyle - Barnett placed 16th at :54.34 while Christensen was 19th (:55.31). Sorochen finished the event in 24th at :57.90. Craddock was the first alternate at 25th (:57.51) in the preliminaries while Allitt also competed.
- Event 33 - 200-Yard Backstroke - Craddock finished in 17th at 2:14.80 while Helscher was 19th (2:17.56) and Sorochen was 20th (2:20.07).
- Event 35 - 200-Yard Breaststroke - Ritter touched the wall 14th at 2:33.94, finishing 14th while Koler was 19th in 2:37.62 and Christensen was 21st (2:43.48).
- Event 37 - 400-Yard Freestyle Relay - Emory & Henry closed the meet by finishing fifth as Christensen, Sorochen, Allitt and Barnett swam a 3:44.36.
