Emory & Henry Men’s & Women’s Swimming Recognized For Academic Achievement

RICHMOND, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Men's & Women's Swimming Teams have received Scholar All-America Team designation for the Fall 2023 semester from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America.

The E&H women's team earns the award for the 21st-straight semester dating back to the fall of 2013. The Wasp men accomplished the feat for the fifth time in program history and the first time since the spring of 2021.

For the fall semester, 74 different NCAA Division II women's programs achieved the Scholar All-America standard. E&H, with a 3.31 team GPA, is one of five members of the South Atlantic Conference to earn the award. Catawba College (3.93), Lenoir-Rhyne University (3.65), Wingate University (3.65) and Mars Hill University (3.57) were also recognized.

On the men's side, there were 51 teams from NCAA Division II to earn the honor, five of which were SAC programs. Emory & Henry had a 3.11 team GPA, while Catawba (3.65), Wingate (3.44), Lenoir-Rhyne (3.42) and Mars Hill (3.26) also received the designation.

The Team Scholar All-America award is presented to college and university swimming & diving teams, which have achieved a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The award is presented twice annually, once in the fall semester and once in the spring semester. The CSCAA honors teams from each of the NCAA's three divisions, NAIA and NJCAA.
