Emory & Henry Women’s Swimming Earns 22nd Straight Team Academic Honor From CSCAA

RICHMOND, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Women's Swimming Team has now received the College Swimming Coaches Association of America Scholar All-America designation for its 22nd straight semester – 11 years in a row – with a 3.48 grade point average for the spring.

There were 62 different NCAA Division II squads to receive the designation including five of the six programs from the South Atlantic Conference.

Catawba College had the best GPA in the country with a team 3.90 while Lenoir-Rhyne University (3.73) and Wingate University (3.64) made the top three for the SAC. Mars Hill rounded out the group at a 3.39.

The Team Scholar All-America award is presented to college and university swimming & diving teams, which have achieved a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The award is presented twice annually, once in the fall semester and once in the spring semester. The CSCAA honors teams from each of the NCAA's three divisions, NAIA and NJCAA.
