
ROCK HILL, S.C. – Emory & Henry University senior Hope Christensen has been named the South Atlantic Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week. This year, the SAC Player of the Week is being sponsored by WePlayed Sports. This is the first time in her career that Christiansen has won weekly honors from the league.

The Moroni, Utah native tallied a pair of individual wins and was part of a first-place relay on Friday night as the Wasps hosted the program's final dual meet against King (Tenn.) University. She swam a :23.89 in the 50-yard freestyle and turned in a 1:10.37 in the 100-yard breaststroke to touch first.
In the 400-yard medley relay, Christiansen and her teammates bested the field with a time of 4:13.86. They were second in the 400-yard freestyle relay, stopping the watches in 3:54.65.
Emory & Henry will next compete at the SAC Championships which will run from Wednesday, February 5 through Saturday, February 8 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.
